Bang & Olufsen BeoLab 11

Is that a sub?
The new BeoLab 11 from Bang & Olufsen certainly doesn't look like any other sub on the market.
Its bifurcated design hints at something different going on, beyond the cool aesthetics.
All that's going on, after the jump.
Because the two 6.5-inch drivers face each other, their movement cancels out, minimizing vibrations. As such, less bass is physically transmitted through the floor, or if you want to hang the sub on a wall, through the wall. A 200 watt Class D amplifier powers the sub.
The frequency range is a claimed 33 to 300 Hz.
The aluminium outer shells are removable, and are available in different colours. At launch there will be the silver you see here and white. Soon after there will also be red, blue, dark grey and golden anodized aluminium.
The BeoLab 11 will be available in mid-May.
