Linn has announced the Uphorik phono stage, which uses technology developed for the reference Urika.
Dual mono, balanced and unbalanced, and a host of other features all revealed after the jump.
The Uphorik has separate inputs and circuits for MM or MC cartridges. On the input and output there's both balanced and unbalanced outputs. Each channel is processed separately, in a full, shielded, dual mono design.
Linn claims a signal to noise ratio of 105 dB and a frequency response of 2.5 Hz to 40 kHz (-3 dB) with both the MM and MC inputs.
There are many configurable load and gain switches for adjustment to specific cartridges. These switches are located on the outside, but Linn retailers can solder them in a specific configuration to bypass the contacts for an even purer signal path.
PRICE: Not yet finalized, likely in the $3,000 range.
