Projectiondesign FR12 RLS Saint John NB

While outwardly a fairly standard looking DLP projector (and is in fact based on the F12), the first indication that the FR12 RLS is a little different is the thick cable sticking out of the side. This is the Liquid Light Guide. The LLG cable is filled with a water-based liquid that transmits the light from the Remote Light Source to the silent FR12 projection head.

Remote Light Source

Projectiondesign has come up with a clever way to make a completely silent projector.

The trick? Removing the lamp entirely and putting it in a separate chassis that can be up to 100 feet away.

All the info after the jump.

The LLG is available in 10, 20 and 30 meter lengths (33, 66, 98 feet).

In the Remote Light Source rack-mountable chassis there's the color wheel and a 330 watt UHP lamp rated up to 2,000 hours at full power, and 2,500 hours in eco mode.

The FR12 is available in three different native resolutions: SXGA+ (1400 × 1050 ), WUXGA (1,920 x 1,200), and good old 1080p.

All the standard adjustments like color temp and color saturation can be adjusted, just like a normal projector. Contrast ratio is a claimed 4,000:1.

projectiondesign claims the projector head and LLG are maintenance free.

PRICE: TBD
